Jabbar Craigwell Joins Pliskin Realty & Development’s Brokerage Team

Pliskin Realty & Development, a full-service commercial real estate company, announced today the appointment of Jabbar Craigwell as a Sales Associate. Mr. Craigwell will concentrate in the leasing of retail properties and the sale of investment properties, including shopping centers, other retail properties, office buildings and multi-family residential properties, on behalf of Pliskin’s diverse clientele.  

Prior to joining Pliskin, Mr. Craigwell served as a Trader with Goldenberg, Hehmeyer and Company (New York, NY), where his role encompassed: handling trade positions in the U.S. Treasury Market and currency futures; a specialization in trading Interest Rate Butterflies; analyzing statistical data, business and economic conditions to forecast future trends; and generating effective trading strategies. During his tenure with the firm, he ranked among its top ten traders based on volume generated for four consecutive years (2001-2004), and finished among the top five traders in its New York office in terms of volume and gross profit.

His professional background also includes a Summer Associate position with the Bank of Tokyo-Mitshubishi Trust Company (New York, NY), serving in its U.S. Corporate Banking Division.

Mr. Craigwell earned his Bachelor of Arts from Yale University, where he was a member of the football and track teams. He holds a New York D.O.S. Real Estate License and a Certificate from the New York Real Estate Institute.

An active member of the community, Mr. Craigwell has volunteered on behalf of the Ben Haven School for the Autistic, assisting in the schooling of six autistic students and supervising students on various outings. Additionally, he assisted with Sarah, Inc., as a volunteer during the 1998 Special Olympics, and with L.E.A.P. (Leadership, Education, and Athletics in Partnership) for which he supervised inner city youth during sporting events.

He resides in Rego Park, NY.
