Pliskin Realty & Development’s Diane Taback Closes 10-Year Lease for 7th Karako Suits Retail Location

Diane Taback, Associate Director at Pliskin Realty & Development (Carle Place, NY), recently consummated a lease transaction on behalf of Karako Suits, a leading family-owned retailer of high quality, high value men’s apparel. The ten-year lease with a five-year option is for an 8,000 square foot, two-story space located at 98-16 Queens Boulevard in Rego Park, NY. The property is owned by Sprung Monument Corporation (North Lindenhurst, NY). Ms. Taback was the exclusive broker, representing both the tenant and the landlord in this transaction.

With its new Rego Park location, Karako Suits now has seven stores in the New York-Metropolitan area. Other store locations include: Farmingdale, Carle Place, Selden, Lynbrook, Queens and Rosedale.

According to Ms. Taback, Karako Suits, which was founded in 1982 with a small store on Manhattan’s lower east side, is continuing its regional expansion. The organization has asked her to locate other convenient locations in Western Suffolk and Eastern Long Island.

Ms. Taback, who joined Pliskin in 2004, has since brokered numerous retail and investment sales transactions for tenants, landlords, buyers and sellers. A member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, she is well-respected by her peers within the commercial real estate industry as well as members of the broader business community. In addition to her New York State Real Estate License, she holds a Bachelor’s degree from Hofstra University.
